The yellow trays are definitely making a statement! I work at King MS and other students are already asking, “Where can I get one?” I directed the question to Mariska, one of Ms. Holtzinger’s students, who explained why they were using the trays and that they were going to fundraise to buy more and get others to join in. Eighth grader David was quick to volunteer his services to help raise money and awareness!
When Brian distributed the trays, he told the students that by agreeing to use them, they are accepting the responsibility to be respectful and informative. It’s clear that the students are doing just that.
“They’ve been taught about the problem, and now we’re giving them a solution.” I can’t wait to see what other solutions King students come up with!
Oh my gosh how exciting to be interviewed by CBS! I hope everyone in my class had fun because I wasn’t here. Even thought I missed out I know that we are actually spreading the word about not using plastic trays. Now that people around the world know, I hope that this is a wake up call for them because this is how much we use and this kind of stuff doesn’t go to the trash. It goes to our marine wild life. How exciting. I hope people start using reusable stuff and stop using PLASTIC!
That was so amazing i never knew CBS was coming. When they were interviwing Erin, in the back round i was watering the plants then i fell. haha 😦 but it was funny too. I wish i got interviewed. The most amazing thing was we might change the universe to not recycle styrofoam. i hope we change something in the world to help our environment.
Yeah I was okay. It was funny though:):):):) Good thing the plants were there if not i would have a scare on my leg 😦
